The 2026 World Supercross Championship calendar has officially been released, featuring a six-round schedule that will commence with the Canadian GP this August, followed by Britain, Argentina, Australia and South Africa. An additional event is to be announced.

Locations include five continents this season, with a sixth round yet to be confirmed, but promising a global footprint in what SX Global has labelled ‘the championship’s biggest and most globally diverse calendar to date’.

The season will begin in Calgary, Canada, at the McMahon Stadium on 8 August, a new destination for World Supercross, but this marks a return to the nation for a third consecutive year in North America.

From there, the championship heads to Birmingham, United Kingdom, on 10 October, marking its return to the UK for the first time since 2023. Alexander Stadium will host the European round, drawing on the UK’s rich motorsport heritage and strong dirt bike culture.

The championship will then travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 24 October, before also returning to Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast, Australia, on 21 November.

Following that, World Supercross will visit South Africa for a second-consecutive year after last season saw the series conclude at Cape Town’s DHL Stadium, however, it appears that the date and venue for 2026 are still be be finalised. A sixth round will be announced at a later date, according to organizers, completing the full 2026 calendar.

“This announcement is the next step in building our biggest season yet,” commented Tom Burwell, CEO of World Supercross. “Returning to strong markets like Canada, Argentina, South Africa and Australia highlights how these GPs have grown year on year, while bringing the championship back to the UK is something fans have been asking for. With another round still to be revealed, there is even more to come.”

Antonio Alia Portela, FIM Motocross Commission director, added: “World Supercross continues to demonstrate its global ambition and elite standard of racing. The 2026 calendar announced so far reflects a strong balance of established markets and world-class destinations, and we look forward to seeing the full calendar confirmed soon.”

In a first World Supercross in its current form, it will overlap with the American Pro Motocross Championship during the US summer – opening on the final off weekend between Washougal and Unadilla – before pausing through September for the Monster Energy SMX World Championship post-season and the Motocross of Nations (MXoN) in the first weekend of October.

The Australian GP will clash with the Paris Supercross this year, but the domestic Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship calendar is yet to be announced for 2026. It’s unclear if any world championship or AUSX rounds will be staged on the same dates.
