After a challenging start to the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, KTM Racing Team and 250 class contender Noah Ferguson have mutually agreed to an early release from his contract, which comes into effect immediately.

The decision arrived after the 22-year-old sustained a forearm injury at the opening round of AUSX in Redcliffe, which ruled him out of round three in Sydney and ultimately compromised his championship campaign.

After assessing both his recovery and long-term goals, Ferguson and the KTM Racing Team agreed it was in their best interests for him to step away, allowing the Queenslander a chance to pursue potential international opportunities.

Ferguson joined KTM ahead of the 2025 Penrite ProMX and AUSX championships, where he delivered an impressive outdoor season to finish third overall in the MX2 standings.

Across the eight-round motocross series, he stood on the podium on six occasions – including a round win at the Queensland Moto Park finale – showcasing both consistency and speed throughout the year.

It’s unclear what is on the cards for the young prospect, who raced for the now-defunct GASGAS Factory Racing program from 2021 to 2023, before spending one season as part of Honda Racing last year in the quarter-litre division.

KTM Racing Team will continue to field Dylan Walsh, Byron Dennis, and Jackson Fuller for the remainder of the AUSX championship, while Nathan Crawford is confirmed to return to action aboard his KTM 450 SX-F at the AUSX Open in Melbourne on November 22.
