Romano named fill-in rider alongside Kitchen and Hammaker.
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Cameron McAdoo and Drew Adams have been ruled out of Saturday’s 2026 Pro Motocross Championship opener while continuing to recover from injuries sustained in the late stages of 250SX.
McAdoo went down in the whoops at Salt Lake City’s final round of Monster Energy Supercross and, despite initially being cleared of injury, later discovered a fracture in his hand.
“I have been pretty quiet here the last couple weeks working to get myself back healthy after my crash in Salt Lake,” McAdoo explained. “Unfortunately, I will not make the start of the motocross series. I ended up with a small fracture in my hand, which was missed on the initial X-ray.
“After two weeks of therapy on a ‘sprained wrist’ with little progress, I went back in for more scans where they found that there was a fracture.
“I couldn’t be more bummed, as I was very excited to make the start of outdoors this year after missing the last few years. I am doing everything in my power to get fully healthy and back out there ASAP. As always, thank you everyone for your support.”
Teammate Adams is also still working his way back to 100 percent fitness after injuring his wrist in Cleveland, with Nick Romano – who debuted with the team in Supercross – named as his replacement for at least the opening round alongside Levi Kitchen and Seth Hammaker.
