MX2 rider exits official Kawasaki program after four rounds.
JPM 360 Developments Kawasaki and Ryan Alexanderson have mutually agreed to part ways following four rounds of the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship, the team announcing their split following Toowoomba.
Alexanderson joined Kawasaki’s official MX2 program this season after contesting selected EMX250 rounds last year, which came following a stint with Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki at the beginning of the season.
The Queenslander most recently recorded a 9-7 scorecard for eighth overall at Toowoomba on Sunday and currently sits seventh in the MX2 standings at the halfway stage of the championship.
A brief statement from the team confirmed the news on Tuesday morning:
Following round four in Toowoomba, JPM Kawasaki and Ryan Alexanderson have mutually agreed to part ways ahead of the remainder of the 2026 season. We would like to thank Ryan for his efforts, commitment, and contribution during his time with the team. On behalf of everyone at JPM Kawasaki, we wish Ryan all the very best in his future endeavours and success moving forward.
It remains unclear whether the team will fill the vacancy left by Alexanderson, while his future plans are also yet to be confirmed. Jayce Cosford and Deegan Rose continue to represent JPM in MX2, with Cosford currently positioned 15th in the standings.
The JPM/Alexanderson split comes directly following Reid Taylor’s decision to depart Raceline Husqvarna TDUB Racing Team – currently unable to discuss the matter – in favour of lining up within his own Honda-equipped MX2 program and going 11-4 for seventh overall at Toowoomba.
