Max Anstie will take further time to recover after his qualifying incident at Fox Raceway last weekend, aiming to return in time for Colorado’s third round of the Pro Motocross season.

Anstie crashed heavily in 250MX Q2 last Saturday morning, and despite escaping serious injury, swelling and discomfort in his glutes ruled him out of the motos.

“Did all I could to be on the start line this weekend in Hangtown, but I’m still too beat up,” Anstie announced. “I’ll get back on the bike next week and the plan is to be back for Colorado.

“Went down in [qualifying] two at Pala, tried to line up for first moto, as I thought I might loosen up with some laps, but I actually felt worse as the moto went on so had to call it a day! Got X-rays and nothing’s broken.”

It’s been a largely troubled year for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider Anstie in 2026, impacted by illness and appendicitis that required emergency surgery during the 250SX West season following Seattle.
