Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing has confirmed that Justin Cooper is back for his home round of Pro Motocross at Unadilla this weekend, set to make his first start since crashing out of Hangtown.

Following what has been the longest run of races in a row missed by the New York native, Cooper has recovered from his concussion and is now fit to return to racing.

“After missing six rounds while recovering from the concussion he suffered at Hangtown, Justin Cooper is ready to get back where he belongs – lined up with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 450 squad,” an update from the team announced. “Just in time for his hometown race: Unadilla.”

After finishing fourth at the Fox Raceway opener, Cooper has missed the past six rounds altogether, but still sits eighth in the combined Monster Energy SMX World Championship standings with three rounds of the outdoors remaining.
