American Cameron McAdoo has formally been confirmed for the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, set to join Honda Racing in a deal that will almost certainly span into the US with Quad Lock Honda for next season.

While McAdoo’s deal for 2027 is yet to be announced – still under contract with Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki – he will travel to race in Australia for the first time in almost a decade. Honda wasn’t specified in today’s announcement.

Saturday night in Townsville will see experienced 28-year-old McAdoo debut with Honda just one week after the Monster Energy SMX World Championship wrapped up in Missouri. This season saw him finish seventh in the 250SX West standings despite being injured in Seattle – achieving podiums at San Diego, Houston and Glendale – as well as 11th in 250SMX.

“I’m really excited to be heading back to Australia – I have the fondest memories,” McAdoo recalled. “The last time I raced there was the AUS-X Open in 2018 and we got the win, so I’ve got great memories of racing down there. I’m coming back with a lot more experience now.

“I’ve spent the last several years racing at the front in the US and I’m excited to bring that into AUSX. The championship has grown massively since I was last there and the level of riders coming in this year is impressive. I’m ready to get down there, get to work with the team and go racing.”

It has been evident that McAdoo would be transferring to Quad Lock Honda in 2027 after joining the team at Calgary’s opening round of the World Supercross Championship, where he rode a Pro Circuit KX250 as part of the Yarrive Konsky-led organisation prior to transferring to Honda altogether for next year.

McAdoo us understood to have committed to the complete five-round AUSX championship, joining fellow Americans Christian Craig and Joey Savatgy – both set for SX1 – in addition to defending champion Dean Wilson at Honda Racing.
