A sharp new set of enhanced privateer initiatives has been launched in detail as the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship draws closer, underscored by an inaugural privateer championship, a 20 percent increase in prize money, reduced entry fees, and a newly introduced rider portal.

The initiatives are aimed at reducing the barriers to supercross and creating new earning opportunities for privateer competitors, while also giving fans, businesses and partners a direct avenue to support their efforts.

Central to the announcement is the AUSX Privateer Championship – a standalone, season-long title dedicated to Australia’s leading self-funded riders across SX1 and SX2, running alongside the main championship points tables.

The top-15 privateers in each category who contest all five rounds of the AUSX series will be eligible to earn from the prize pool. AUSX has committed a minimum of $30,000 to the fund, while for the first time, public contributions will be welcomed – every dollar raised will go directly to eligible privateers.

“We are super-excited to announce our first-ever privateer championship prize pool,” commented AUSX Events CEO Adam Bailey. “We’ve kicked things off with a $30,000 cash commitment, but there’s an incredibly passionate community behind supercross and the privateers, so we’d love to see them join us in growing the pool and rewarding the hardest-working racers in supercross.”

Prize money has also increased by 20 percent across all classes, with the additional funding weighted toward 11th-18th place in particular, while entry fees have been reduced by close to $100 per round.

Further support includes reduced-rate, AUSX-managed freight between rounds, free secure transport crates, discounted accommodation and ongoing marketing and sponsorship guidance. A new rewards program will also offer approved riders up to $10,000 for building their profile through engaging content.

Completing the initiative is a newfound rider portal, providing a central hub for accreditation, entries, regulations, race history, standings and prize money tracking – now live via riders.ausxsupercross.com.au.
