KTM Racing Team has signed Luke Clout to complete its roster for the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, lining up in SX1 alongside Zac Watson, while Byron Dennis and Dylan Walsh will enter SX2.

A regular front-runner in AUSX, the 31-year-old finished fifth in last year’s final standings, scoring podium results with P2 at the Redcliffe season-opener, in addition to second in Sydney and third in Adelaide.

The New South Welshman also previously rode for the factory-backed KTM team in 2018, finishing sixth in the SX1 standings and recording two podium results at the Jimboomba and Coolum rounds.

Today’s announcement concludes Clout’s two-year association with Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki in Australian competition, having contested both the 2024 and 2025 championships with the team. He is still currently part of Venum Bud Racing Kawasaki in the 2026 World Supercross Championship (WSX).

“I’m excited to line up for KTM Racing Team in 2026,” commented Clout. “I’ve been riding the 450 SX-F lately and have been feeling really good. I didn’t know what to expect since it had been a while since I’d ridden a KTM, but I was pleasantly surprised – the engine is amazing, and it really suits my style.

“With the team, there are a lot of new people, but also some who were here when I was last, so it’s a bit of a reunion of sorts, which makes me excited to go racing. It feels like a bit of a fresh start for me, which I think is always good – a new environment, a new team – and we’re ready to get to work.”

KTM Group Australia motorsport manager Kyle Blunden added: “Luke has consistently proven himself as a front-running contender in Australian Supercross, and his experience, speed and approach to racing make him a great addition to our SX1 program.

“We’re looking forward to combining Luke’s skill and determination with the strength of our team, as we prepare for the season ahead. We are excited to build momentum together for our fans and put ourselves in a position to challenge for strong results throughout the championship.”

It remains unclear whether Clout will contest the season-opening AUSX event in Townsville – which does not count toward the MA-sanctioned Australian Supercross Championship – with KTM Racing Team having already indicated its intended absence due to calendar clashes, without ruling out individual rider attendance.
