Shane McElrath has officially signed with Liqui Moly Beta Factory Racing for the 2027 and 2028 Monster Energy Supercross seasons, landing a two-year contract that will see him debut aboard the RX 450F at the upcoming SMX playoffs.

The 32-year-old has made the switch from Quad Lock Honda and will instead partner Benny Bloss at Beta, inclusive of 450SX and the Monster Energy SuperMotocross World Championship post-season.

“I’m so excited to finally get to announce our partnership with Beta Factory Racing!” said McElrath. “They have given me a great opportunity, and I’m excited to work alongside such a long-standing brand for the next two years and beyond. We are both eager to perform well at the highest level and we will stop at nothing less. Let’s go racing!”

Team director Carlen Gardner added: “We are incredibly proud to welcome Shane to the Beta USA family. Shane brings a wealth of knowledge, a championship-winning mindset, and a level of professionalism that perfectly aligns with our vision for the Liqui Moly Beta Race Team.

“His extensive experience developing bikes and racing at the absolute highest level will be invaluable for our program. We know he has what it takes to ride up front, and we are ready to get to work and build on the foundation we’ve established.”

A two-time SX2 world champion and longtime 250SX/250MX contender, McElrath finished 13th overall in the 2026 450SX standings, earning a best result of sixth in Philadelphia. While he and Bloss will lead the 450 program, the expanding factory Beta effort is also expected to add a pair of 250SX entries from 2027.
