Van Venrooy KTM has secured Jeremy Seewer for the remaining rounds of the 2026 MXGP World Championship, in a deal that includes a KTM development role after his high-profile split with Ducati.

Seewer, 31, will debut onboard the 450 SX-F at this weekend’s final round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Halle, before returning to GP competition at Foxhill on July 19.

The Van Venrooy KTM deal sees Seewer reunited with former Ducati teammate Mattia Guadagnini, who is currently out with a shoulder injury, with rookie Rick Elzinga – who had started the season with Beta – replacing him in recent rounds. Noel Zanocz is the team’s MX2 entry and Aron Katona races EMX250.

After completing the opening six rounds with Red Bull Ducati, Seewer parted ways with the Italian manufacturer in May. He claimed two podiums with the Maddii Racing-run Ducati effort in 2025, but failed to match that level of performance after Ducati transferred its factory program to Louis Vosters’ team for 2026.

Seewer has finished second in the MXGP standings on three separate occasions (2019, 2020 and 2022), previously riding for Yamaha (2018-2023), Kawasaki (2024) and Ducati (2025-2026) during his premier class career.
