Made official alongside Beaton in two-year contract.
Former MX1 national champion Aaron Tanti has signed a contract extension with the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team through the 2026 and 2027 seasons, officially confirming him alongside Jed Beaton for the next two years.
After a single season competing in North America last year as part of the PRMX team last year – split between both Monster Energy Supercross and the Canadian Triple Crown Series – Tanti returned home to contest the AUSX Supercross Championship with Honda Racing.
The 29-year-old then reunited with the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team – which he won the 2022 ProMX title with – but a pre-season neck injury kept him on the sidelines until the final two outdoor rounds.
Upon returning with a P7 finish at Toowoomba, followed by sixth at Queensland Moto Park (QMP) the following weekend, CDR and Tanti have now moved to secure a two-year commitment together beyond the upcoming 2025 AUSX season.
“I worked hard once I was given the approval to increase physical activity and hit a personal goal of being able to return to racing before the end of ProMX,” Tanti commented. “I think it’s put me in a good place for AUSX Supercross, and the team could see the effort I put in – hopefully that helped them with their decision to re-sign me again for another two years.
“CDR is the team I wanted to stay with and where I’ve had my best success. I have a good bond, not just with Craig [Dack], but everyone on the team, and I’m pumped to get this deal done and know I have the best team in Australia backing me.
“I look forward to getting back into the full swing of racing, and now the office work has
been taken care of, I can give my full focus on going fast and getting the best results
possible.”
Current teammate Beaton also signed an extension for the next two seasons with Monster Energy CDR Yamaha that was announced at Appin in April, firming the factory organisation’s roster for the foreseeable future.
