Triumph Factory Racing’s Guillem Farres has been a revelation during the 2026 MX2 World Championship, claiming the past six moto victories and three-consecutive overall wins to take hold of the red plate. Following another successful weekend at Foxhills, Fast Thoughts catches up with the Spaniard to reflect on his recent run and growing title campaign.

Confidence building over the past three GPs…

I’m always confident – I have been confident since Argentina. Just sometimes things don’t go your way – bad starts, or small mistakes. Lately, I have been avoiding those things, I have been getting good starts, and when things go in the right direction, let’s say it gets easier. When you have to turn things around from bad starts or crashes, that’s when you show that you’re a title contender.

Winning the British GP for Triumph Factory Racing…

It’s amazing to win here for Triumph and everyone involved at the home GP, so yeah, really happy. Since we started on Saturday, the bike felt awesome. Again, as I have said the past three or four weekends in a row, I haven’t touched my bike during the weekend. I am confident with my base setup, let’s say, and it’s amazing because I know that when I get to the track I’m not going to change anything, and I can focus on my riding and my lines.

Thoughts on Foxhills as a race track…

I mean, I always like hard-packed tracks, but it was quite different soil [at Foxhills] from Portugal, where my bike was also working well. I don’t think [my form] has much to do with the track, I just have a really good set-up, which is awesome. As I said before, my mind is not on setting up the bike – I know I have the best machine out there, and we are proving it.

Mindset leading the MX2 championship…

This is my second time leading the championship, but my mindset is always the same – I just take things race by race. I’m happy with my crew, and I am happy with my bike, and things are clicking, but hopefully we can keep it going. It’s hard because we have some good riders around, and yeah, it’s going to be a challenge, but I am here for it.
