Reigning world champion Romain Febvre has officially signed with Ducati Corse for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, headlining Red Bull Ducati Factory MXGP Team in a two-year agreement.

The 34-year-old was confirmed to be departing the Kawasaki Racing Team yesterday and it’s now been announced that he will be on board the Desmo450 MX from next year.

Febvre won his maiden MXGP title as a rookie in 2015 while riding for Yamaha. He departed for Kawasaki in 2020, managing to clinch a second crown in 2025. Over the course of his career, the Frenchman has achieved 26 grand prix victories, 97 podiums and has won the Motocross of Nations with France on four occasions (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2023).

Currently positioned third in the 2026 MXGP World Championship, Febvre is 72 points behind points-leader Lucas Coenen (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) with seven rounds remaining.
