5.11 Triumph Factory Racing’s Mikkel Haarup endured a bruising outing in round seven of Pro Motocross at Spring Creek, suffering a broken nose from an opening lap crash during 450MX moto one.

Qualifying 11th in the premier division, Haarup launched to a strong start in moto one before being collected by Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Garrett Marchbanks after cross-rutting on lap one.

The incident resulted in a broken nose and brought a premature end to his race, with Haarup having since confirmed he escaped any other major injuries and plans to line up at this Saturday’s Washougal National.

“This was not the weekend that we wanted,” commented Haarup. “I’m healthy and ready for Washougal though. I had a decent lap time in qualification and lined up for 11th in moto one. I started in the top seven but got cross rutted and went down – I was hit pretty hard and ended up with a broken nose. I’ll be ready for next weekend.”

The Danish talent has so far impressed aboard the TF 450-X in his first premier class Pro Motocross campaign, recording season-best seventh overall finishes at both High Point and RedBud. He currently sits ninth in the 450MX standings with four rounds remaining.
