A crash during the opening 250MX moto at Southwick saw 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing’s Deacon Denno break his collarbone, adding to the weekend’s taxing injury toll.

250MX rookie Denno qualified 18th in his first professional appearance at the notoriously challenging circuit before crashing in a high-speed section with eight minutes remaining in the moto.

The impact from the incident resulted in a broken collarbone, sidelining the 18-year-old for the remainder of the event. No timetable has been provided for his return to racing.

“Southwick – sick track, short day,” commented Denno. “Unfortunately [I] had a pretty good crash in moto one, [and] ended my day early. Ended up breaking my collarbone – we’ll get it fixed this week and be back as soon as possible.”

Denno has shown solid pace throughout the 2026 Pro Motocross season, with a best result of 12th overall achieved on three occasions. He is also expected to be the team’s sole 250 rider in the 2027 Monster Energy SMX World Championship.
