Rookie joins Zanchi in world championship aboard Desmo250 MX.
Beddini Racing Factory Ducati has firmed up its roster for the 2027 MX2 World Championship season, with Danish rookie Nicolai Skovbjerg joining Ferruccio Zanchi within the Desmo250 MX program.
Skovbjerg, 20, finished runner-up in the EMX250 class this year, claiming victories at Sardegna, Belgium and the Netherlands before placing 13th overall in the MX2 division while representing Denmark at the 2026 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations (MXoN).
Skovbjerg joins Italian rider Zanchi, who will enter his second season with the outfit after helping Ducati complete its debut MX2 campaign in 2026. The 20-year-old guided the Desmo250 MX to 14th in the championship, highlighted by a season-high ninth-place finish at the MXGP of China.
“I’m really proud and excited to announce that I’ll be joining Beddini Racing Factory Ducati for the 2027 MX2 World Championship,” commented Skovbjerg. “It’s a huge step in my career and a dream come true – I’m really looking forward to starting this new chapter, working with the team, and giving it everything I have. I can’t wait to get started.”
In the MXGP division, two-time world champion Romain Febvre will join Louis Vosters’ Red Bull Ducati Factory MXGP team, where he will line up alongside Andrea Bonacorsi aboard the Desmo450 MX. Bonacorsi enters the second year of his two-year contract with the operation.
