How to watch Saturday night’s 2026 opener in Townsville.
A revolutionary broadcast model combining live race coverage with immersive digital access through a new AUSX 360 platform will launch alongside the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship season-opener in Townsville this Saturday, October 3.
All five rounds will be streamed live and free on 7plus Sport, with live and on-demand coverage also available through Kayo Sports in Australia. Queensland Country Bank Stadium’s broadcast begins at 6:30pm local time.
Complementing the race coverage is the newly-introduced AUSX 360 app, developed with Australian sports technology company SportsAI to provide selected 360-degree camera views, behind-the-scenes content and live timing. The technology allows fans to control their viewing perspective from selected pit, paddock and trackside positions with compatible mobile, desktop and virtual reality headset experiences.
Australian users can register free to access live press conferences and the new AUSX Pre-Show, alongside exclusive interviews, past season broadcasts, timing results and pit and paddock cameras. Locally, the live broadcast will remain on 7plus and Kayo.
“Having every round of AUSX live and free on 7plus Sport, as well as live on Kayo Sports, means fans right across Australia can follow the championship from the first gate drop to the final race,” explained AUSX CEO Adam Bailey.
“Supercross is made for live broadcast. The racing is fast, unpredictable and incredibly exciting, and we want to make it as easy as possible for fans to be part of it, whether they’re inside the stadium or watching from home.
A one-hour highlights program will air on 7mate the weekend following each round, which Bailey said was an important addition: “7mate then gives us another opportunity on Sunday to showcase the biggest moments and stories from each round to a national free-to-air audience, via one of Australia’s most prominent linear channels.”
The video pass-style AUSX 360 app will importantly also be utilised to deliver all five rounds live and on demand to international viewers – excluding Australia – with early-bird season passes priced at $34.99 (USD) and individual event passes at $10.99 (USD).
“Supercross is without a doubt the most entertaining sport in the world to experience live,” Bailey added. “AUSX 360 is about finding new ways to deliver that entertainment experience to fans wherever they are in the world.
“We don’t deliver that simply be another place to watch a race. We want fans to be able to go deeper into AUSX — choose different perspectives, get inside the pre event press conference, within the paddock, and ON the track, in virtual reality.
“AUSX has some of the biggest names in world supercross racing across Australia and New Zealand this season, and AUSX 360 gives us an exciting new platform to take those riders, our championship and our events to a genuinely global audience.”
