MX1
P1 | Kyle Webster (Attards Honda Racing):
I’m happy to take the win, but we still have work to do. The speed has been there all season, but mistakes have hurt me. I probably rode too conservatively this weekend trying not to make errors, and that stopped me from riding naturally and aggressively.
P2 | Jed Beaton (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha):
3-1 for P2 overall this weekend – I felt good just didn’t make it happen. Eyes forward to Toowoomba now for round four!
P3 | Wilson Todd (Attards Honda Racing):
It’s my best result of the year, but I’m still frustrated because I know where I want to be. Fitness doesn’t come back overnight after injury. We’re improving, but there’s still a lot of work ahead.
P4 | Nathan Crawford (MotoCoach Elite Racing Honda):
P4 overall today! Making progress on the red machine – definitely a step in the right direction, my fitness and track speed felt good in the races. I’ll get to work on some starts and battle up front. Thanks to everyone who’s supported me, I’ve felt the love over the last 6 weeks!
P5 | Aaron Tanti (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha):
Round three done and dusted. My riding was better than my result, I just need to put myself in better positions. P5 overall and third in the championship. Thank you to everyone supporting me, we are getting stronger every week and it’s starting to show.
P6 | Regan Duffy (BerrySweet Yamaha):
Really happy with the progress over these last few weeks between rounds two and three. To go from being outside the top 15 to knocking on the door of the top five is a massive step in the right direction. I went back and trained with Ross Beaton and that crew for a couple of weeks, which was good. Jumping in with those boys reminded me that I’ve still got the pace and belong up there. I think seeing it in real life again, rather than just believing it in my head, gave me a lot of confidence coming into the weekend. I came into Gillman truly believing I could run at the front again, and I think that showed in the results.
P7 | Zac Watson (KTM Racing Team):
My riding was a bit mediocre today, and the results aren’t quite where I would like them to be. In saying that, there are some positives to take away from the round, but we need to iron out making my way forward a little cleaner – I think in moto two, I took a bit too long to pass some riders, which cost me maybe three or four positions. If I can tidy that up and get a little more aggressive for round four, then I’ll be happy.
P8 | Todd Waters (Raceline Husqvarna TDUB Racing Team):
It wasn’t a good weekend for me. Average starts – I was around fifth to 10th place – but then I went down in moto one and picked it up outside the top 10. It was a super-hard track to pass on, so I didn’t make too many passes. I struggled with making a charge here under the conditions, but just in general I couldn’t get in a flow from the get-go. So, no big crashes, and that’s the main thing for me, coming back in one piece, and now I’m really looking forward to Toowoomba. I think my bike is set-up really well for there, so I guess I just have to put this one behind me and keep charging!
MX2
P1 | Alex Larwood (Attards Honda Racing):
It’s nice, it’s all coming together – the bike, the team, everything. It’s easy for people to forget the injuries I’ve had in the past, but I’ve been fortunate to have great people stick by me. It’s nice to reward everyone like this. It was a perfect weekend in my home state, having family and friends there made it special. There have been plenty of highs and lows, and to do it on Mother’s Day with Mum there, she hasn’t missed many races in my career, made it even more meaningful.
P2 | Byron Dennis (KTM Racing Team):
We stacked some good points at Gillman, tried to put our best foot forward, and ended with 2-3 moto scores. Both the riding and the bike felt good, just a couple of little tweaks needed on my side, and we’ll get to the top step!
P3 | Ryder Kingsford (Attards Honda Racing):
We’ve been extremely focused on improving. We raced and tested here a few weeks ago and it was clear we had made progress.
P4 | Noah Ferguson (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha):
Adelaide things… bit of an up and down day but plenty of positives to take away. Showed some fight and speed, had a few moments of brilliance and rolled away with fourth overall today. Missed the box by a sniff, but we’re heading the right direction, praise the lord. Also happy Mother’s Day to my awesome Mum. Big thanks to the team – you legends make this whole thing unreal
P5 | Dylan Walsh (KTM Racing Team):
It was a tough day! I had an average opening moto to begin with – it was just alright – but in moto two, I got caught up in a first turn crash, which, on a track like this, makes it hard to pass. It is what it is, so we’ll shift focus to the next one in Toowoomba.
P6 | Kayd Kingsford (Attards Honda Racing):
This weekend tested me. Honestly, I learned a lot about myself. The team physios were incredible, my family were amazing, and we salvaged important points. We’re still in the championship fight and there are positives to take away.
P7 | Madoc Dixon (Kawasaki Team Green NZ):
Seventh on the day in Adelaide, another progressive weekend for me. I’m starting to figure out how to twist the throttle a little. Keen to get back behind a gate in a couple weeks and also keen to get a little closer to the front. Hungry.
