P1 | Christian Craig (Honda Racing):
Australia was fun! 1-1 in both mains. Technicial track with how slick it got, but I felt good all day! Back home to the fam for a few weeks then off to New Zealand. Australian fans are awesome and the team killed it!
P2 | Cedric Soubeyras (Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki):
I think this smile says a lot about the relief of finally standing on my first podium of the Australian season. I’ve made some difficult choices, sometimes misunderstood, and sometimes even completely against what I was feeling. Today, I’m happy I made those choices. I’ve found my love for supercross again, and for my life as a professional athlete. I could name the few people I’ve kept close to me who have been there, who came to my training sessions, who supported me through the work, and who opened their doors and their tracks to me. But I know they’ll recognise themselves reading this, and I really want to thank you. Onto the next one!
P3 | Luke Clout (KTM Racing Team):
Third overall in Townsville! My bike and setup is all time, I’m really looking forward to Aucland and the rest of the series – let’s keep it rolling.
P4 | Hayden Mellross (Wood Motorsport SX Racing Team):
Fifth overall to kickstart the AUSX season. I was really happy with my speed yesterday and it’s a solid platform to build from. I know what I need to work on but I’m already looking forward to round two in a few weeks time. Massive thank you to everyone supporting and helping to make this program work!
P5 | Jorge Zaragoza (Stark Future):
First round of the AUSX championship – fourth overall. Almost podiumed after 3-5 in the finals. The level is strong here! All day [I had] a good pace, on a real supercross circuit. Looking forward to the next one, and to correct my mistakes.
P6 | Luke Zielinski (Yamaha):
Round one of AUSX done. P6 overall for the night. Happy to have some more fight in the second main! I felt slightly off all day but happy to come away healthy with a decent starting point! Few things to work on and we’ll be ready for Auckland!
P8 | Brandon Steel (MotoCoach Elite Racing Honda):
Round one of AUSX done and dusted! Qualified 11th then went on to be P6 in my heat race! Onto the mains ended up going 9-9 for P8 overall! Still can’t believe it – career best. The track was so sick, big quad line and the whoops were tough! Overall unreal night thank you to everyone who supports and helps me get to this point. Bring on Auckland!

P1 | Brodie Connolly (Honda Racing):
P1 in Townsville last night, thanks to all the team! Home race up next at the end of the month.
P2 | Lux Turner (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha):
It’s awesome to be back in Australia and racing again. I have been looking forward to it for a while. I didn’t have a great night, but I was able to hustle enough to finish the night in second place and put down some reasonable laps. My leg and neck are sore after that crash in moto one, so I was far from 100 percent. At least I was able to get my way to a podium finish when it wasn’t on my best day of racing. Thanks to the team for putting in a huge effort. I only landed in Brisbane on Wednesday, then flew up here on Thursday, so with no testing, I was able to gel pretty well with the bike, and the team did an awesome job at setting it up for me. Hopefully it’s onward and upward from here.
P3 | Michael Hicks (Stark Future):
First Supercross race in Australia was going so well – until it wasn’t. I won my heat race and went on to finish third in the first main after a bad start and a small mistake put me back to P7 on the opening lap. In main two, I got the holeshot and led the entire race to take the win and overall. However, there were two sections in a row with red cross flags. The second section had a yellow flag at the beginning, followed by a red cross flag right after. With the rider behind me doubling into the rhythm section, I then was so focused on making sure I was seeing the red cross flag correctly that I ended up passing a lapped rider I did not see on the far right side of the track while I rolled the section, which resulted in a five-position penalty. That dropped me to P6 in the race and gave me P3 overall. Definitely not the way I wanted the night to end, but still a solid first supercross race in Australia and I’m hungrier than ever for an overall win! Thanks team for making this possible.
P4 | Noah Ferguson (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha):
It seems like everyone had some issues tonight, and happy to say I had more than one. But it was good to get back and racing on a supercross track, and it was nice to be inside the top five before that start’s getting really serious. Thanks to Brownie and the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha Team for another great weekend, and hopefully next time, I can get on the podium.
P5 | Cameron McAdoo (Honda Racing):
I had myself an eventful first night of racing with the Honda Racing Australia crew! Ended up caught up in some unfortunate incidents but glad to get our first race together under our belts. Looking forward to the next few weeks to get some time to get comfortable and familiar with the new bike and team!
P6 | Max Anstie (MXRP Yamaha):
The day started off well, I qualified fastest, then not a great start in the heat. I was testing a couple of different things with some mapping, and it’s the first time on the 2027, so we went with, obviously, the hydraulic clutch. We were figuring a few things out, and I thought we had it dialled. I tried something, made a swing for the first main, and it didn’t work. I was in third, so it wasn’t terrible, but then a guy in front of me crashed right before the whoops and I had nowhere to go. I rode just off the track, and as I went off the track, I hit a tough block and went down, and somehow bent all my front end. That was the end of that one, which was a bit of a shame. Second moto, I felt like I got the holeshot, but the Stark snuck through. Then I spent the whole time behind Michael Hicks. He was riding great on the Stark, and unfortunately our other teammate Brock [Flynn] went down, so they had the red cross flags out for a while. But hey, we’ll take it. Second in the last one was all right. Learned a lot with a new bike. You know, Dan having me over from MXRP, the bike ran great all weekend. Learned a lot with clutches, with the starts, figuring a few things out. Suspension, chassis, everything is different on this 2027 bike, but overall, a really good run-through race. I’m glad that we got to do it. It was so last minute. So yeah, hopefully we’ll be back for more.
P7 | Jai Constantinou (Yamaha):
Sixth overall at round one. Wild night of racing to say the least. So good to be back under the lights again, so ready for a solid few weeks on the bike before New Zealand. Thanks Wilson Daish for being my mechanic and everyone else for the support!
P8 | Seth Burchell (Monster Energy WBR Yamaha):
Things were definitely a bit rusty, and that’s to be expected with the first race of the year. I felt ok but was off the pace of the front guys, but now we have that out of the way, I can knuckle down and see if I can uncork some speed before we get to Auckland.
