Beddini Racing Ducati Factory Team promotes EMX250 regular Mancini.
A practice crash has ruled Ferruccio Zanchi out of the 2026 MX2 World Championship season-opening round in Argentina this weekend, with the Beddini Racing Ducati Factory MX2 Team promoting Simone Mancini to debut the Desmo250 MX.
The 19-year-old Zanchi recently guided Borgo Panigale’s all-new MX2 entry to a podium finish at round one of the Internazionali d’Italia Championship in Alghero, continuing development ahead of the new MXGP season.
Beddini Racing has since announced that a practice crash will now keep him off the bike for several weeks: ‘After riding the new Desmo250 MX to the podium in the first round of the Internazionali d’Italia in Alghero and completing his winter preparation, Ferruccio Zanchi suffered a training accident that will keep him off the bike for several weeks, forcing him to miss the first round of the FIM Motocross World Championship taking place this weekend in Bariloche, Argentina.’
Zanchi’s absence opens the door for fellow Italian teenager Mancini to make his world championship debut in the MX2 category in Argentina, after finishing P15 in the EMX250 standings last season, while also continuing development of the factory Desmo250 MX.
