Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Casey Cochran escaped any major injuries in his high-speed crash scare while leading 250MX moto one at Unadilla, with a concussion bringing an early end to his day.

After launching to the holeshot, Cochran led Honda HRC Progressive’s Chance Hymas for the opening half-lap before high-siding on the uphill section following the skyshot tabletop.

Initially attended to by crew from the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit, the 20-year-old sat out the remainder of the round after sustaining a head knock in the impact: “Well… holeshot to absolutely KO. Thankful to be mostly okay and nothing broken – we’ll bounce back.”

It continues what has been a mixed Pro Motocross campaign for Cochran, who has endured his share of crashes, but remains 10th in the standings. Already linked to Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing for 2027, it’s unclear whether he will line up for the Budds Creek National.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing teammate Daxton Bennick also endured a difficult day at Unadilla, finishing 27th in the opening 250MX moto before sitting out the second race altogether.
