Experienced Australian a late addition for 2026 series.
Experienced Australian Luke Clout has emerged as part of the Partzilla Blaster Power PRMX Racing team ahead of this weekend’s 250SX East season-opener at Arlington, where he will return to Monster Energy Supercross onboard Kawasaki machinery.
Understood to have been in the works for some time, Clout finally arrived in the US last week and has since been dialing in the team’s KX250 in preparation for this weekend’s AT&T Stadium round in Texas.
“I got here last week and I’m racing the 250 East series with Partzilla Blaster Power PRMX Racing,” Clout told MotoOnline. “It’s all been going well so far. I had a couple of days on the bike last week when I got here and a couple more days this week, so not a lot of prep time, but I actually feel really good on the bike.
“We’ve been doing some little bits of testing here and there, and I’m excited to go racing. I’m excited to be back over in the States and just bettering myself. Racing Supercross is what I really enjoy, and I wanted to try to put a program together where I could just race Supercross the whole year – I’m excited to go and just see where I’m at.”
Clout, 31, last featured in Monster Energy Supercross as part of the now Quad Lock Honda effort in 2020, finishing ninth overall in the 250SX West standings with a season-high result of fifth in Oakland.
“I just want to better myself,” he continued. “I want to keep getting better, keep taking these weeks on the bike and just trying to tick off little goals for myself, then keep progressing and improving for our series when we start in Australia, and for the World Supercross Championship later on in the year. That’s kind of the plan, so I’m excited to get into it here thanks to the PRMX team.”
The development marks a significant shift in Clout’s career, with the 2021 Australian MX1 champion appearing to have called time on his full-time motocross commitments outdoors, instead looking to build out a supercross program to complete his annual racing schedule.
Clout recently earned third overall at the Dortmund Supercross round in Germany, while also achieving success on the KX250 last year with Bud Racing in placing second overall at the Paris Supercross in the SX2 division.
