A first-turn crash in 250MX moto two at Hangtown will force Daxton Bennick to sit out the Thunder Valley National, expected to return in the coming weeks.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider Bennick crashed out of Fox Raceway and then was ruled out at round two this past Saturday in the costly pile-up that impacted much of the field.

“Hate to be making this post, but me and the team have decided I will not be racing this weekend,” Bennick announced. “I’ve had a few crashes and need to focus on getting healthy right now [so] I can be back at my full potential. We will keep you guys updated.”

After taking the week off the bike between the season-opener and Hangtown, Bennick qualified 18th and then finished 13th in the first moto, before exiting the second race in the first corner.
