Round seven of the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship at Spring Creek marked the return of Troy Lee Designs Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing’s Pierce Brown from injury, with a mishap in moto two spoiling his chance at a top 10 overall result.

Describing the race as ‘quiet but solid’, 21-year-old Brown rode his way to P9 in the opening moto of the hotly-contested 250MX category.

“For the first race back at Millville, I had some fun,” said Brown. “I’m finally out here racing with the boys and the first moto was quiet but solid with a ninth. The second moto started a little better. That uphill triple is big. I tried it one time, cased it, and came to a stop. After that, I got to the top of the hill, tucked the front-end, and fell.

“But after that, I got up and felt like I was riding really good. I caught back up to the pack that passed me. Overall, for the first race back, it was a fun one. I get to go to Washougal next week, which is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit, so I’m excited for that one.”

Troy Lee Designs Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing and Brown now set their sights ahead to the final four rounds of the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship, with round seven at Washougal set to take place this Saturday, 22 July.
