Team Tedder has revealed the signing of Benny Bloss ahead of the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, set to represent the KTM-supported organization in the premier 450SX category.

Bloss, 24, rode a Smartop Bullfrog Spas MCR Honda to 23rd in the 2021 championship, his best results being 13th at Indianapolis 2 and Salt Lake City after missing multiple rounds with an ankle injury.

The former AMA Horizon Award winner has shown flashes of potential onboard 450 machinery, claiming the 2018 450SX Rookie of the Year title, achieving multiple top 10 finishes and winning a heat race in 2020 at SLC5.

Completing the team’s line-up in 250SX will be Kaeden Amerine, who is set to contest his professional rookie campaign in 2022 after a solid end to his amateur career at Loretta Lynn’s, landing on the podium in the second moto of 250 Pro Sport.

Longtime racer Dakota Tedder will step into the team manager role, the former 250SX and 450SX competitor keeping the leadership of the team within the family. Just over a month remains until the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship commences at Anaheim on 8 January.
