Captured: 2026 Supercross Rd14 Cleveland

Unpacking moments and narratives that shaped the weekend.

Huntington Bank Field brought the action in the first visit of Monster Energy Supercross to Cleveland in over 30 years. Relive the Triple Crown weekend through illustration form in Captured.

Supercross finally returned to Cleveland in 2026, which marked its first appearance on the calendar since 1995. A bit has happened in the time between!

A crash in Q1 prematurely ended Eli Tomac’s day at round 14. His early exit, the zero points scored, as well as a possible injury are likely the nail in the coffin for his 2026 450SX title run.

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing recruit Landen Gordon delivered in just his second Supercross as a professional, landing P2 via a 4-2-2 Triple Crown scorecard. He was measured in tough conditions – which is a good sign for the rookie and no doubt boosts his stock at the powerhouse squad.

And then there were two. A single point now separates Hunter Lawrence and Ken Roczen, with three rounds left to run in this 450SX championship.

The weather was an ongoing storyline entering the Cleveland round and persisted throughout the event. It made for varying conditions, although the dirt was on the softer side and did absorb the moisture well. This was far from a full-blown mud fest, with the circuit at its worst during the second 250SX race.

It was a tough outing for Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Drew Adams, who withdrew from the event after an opening lap crash in 250SX race two. We should learn more soon.

A crash to start 250SX race three was not what Seth Hammaker needed. He rallied to P6, although a 1-3-6 scorecard earned him fourth, and he conceded more points to title-rival Cole Davies in the process. That gap is now 21 points.

This year has been very un-Cooper Webb-like in a lot of ways. He’s usually the maestro of capitalizing on others’ mistakes, although he hasn’t quite executed that game plan in 2026, with the leaders offering plenty of opportunities to do so. Still, a quiet P2 sees him reduce his deficit to 22 points.

It was a timely victory for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Nate Thrasher, who posted 2-1-4 scores to earn his seventh career 250SX victory.

Things get tight between Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Malcolm Stewart and Red Bull KTM’s Jorge Prado!

Daxton Bennick was battling a stomach bug at the 14th round, powering through the discomfort to finish P5 for the event. He maintains third in the 250SX East standings with two rounds remaining, which is a solid outcome for his first season with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna program.
