Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s RJ Hampshire has been drafted into Team USA for the 2025 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations (MXoN), with Haiden Deegan still intending on lining up in MX2 at Ironman.

Hampshire will content the Open class, with Eli Tomac shifting to the MXGP division for the October 3-5 event following the withdrawal of Chase Sexton.

It will be the 29-year-old Hampshire’s second time representing his country in the historic international event, adding to his appearance in 2023 at Ernee, France. He finished on the 450MX podium in P2 at Ironman this summer.

“I am really excited for the chance to represent our great country on home soil!” Hampshire commented. “I may not have been the first pick, but I’ll always answer the call, and you know I’ll give it everything I’ve got. Ironman is one of my favorite tracks and we’ve still got a strong team ready to go – see you all next weekend!”

Deegan is planning on representing the United States at home after undergoing immediate surgery on his collarbone fracture sustained at the SMX Final in Las Vegas this past weekend, but Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing teammate Justin Cooper will prepare in case of a late change.

“I would like to offer our sincere appreciation to the versatile Justin Cooper for his unwavering dedication and professionalism,” Team USA manager Mike Pelletier explained. “Justin is continuing to train at the highest level in an effort to be ready at a moment’s notice and support his fellow countrymen.

“This speaks volumes about his character, work ethic, and commitment to the team. His effort behind the scenes does not go unnoticed and is a true unsung hero of the sport and Team USA.”
