Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki has confirmed Nick Romano will complete the remaining rounds of 250SX East, filling in for the injured Drew Adams in Monster Energy Supercross 2026.

Romano will make his debut onboard the KX250 at the first 250SX East/West Showdown of the season at Protective Stadium in Birmingham this weekend.

“It’s a dream come true to be able to join Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki,” Romano commented. “I’m really excited to work with this team and this group of people. This opportunity could not have come at a better time and I’ve prepared for it the best I can. I feel healthy and mentally clear – everything has gone well this off-season. I’m ready to be back at the races and show what I’m capable of.”

Pro Circuit owner Mitch Payton added: “We look forward to having Nick come onboard with the team. Having been an amateur kid at Team Green, it’s good to have him back with Kawasaki. He’s been training all off-season for this kind of opportunity and is very determined to get back to racing. I believe in him and I’m confident he’ll make the most of this opportunity.”

Romano – former part of Kawasaki Team Green during his amateur career – rode for Star Racing Yamaha in 2022, 2023 and 2024, before spending a season with Phoenix Racing Honda in 2025 that was largely impacted by knee and shoulder injuries.

A thumb injury sustained at the Daytona Supercross saw Adams undergo surgery, ruling him out for the ‘foreseeable future’, according to Kawasaki’s latest update released this afternoon.
