Ducati will enter the MX2 World Championship beginning in 2026, with Beddini Racing set to lead the Italian manufacturer’s new-look effort in a single-rider program featuring Ferruccio Zanchi.

The Beddini Racing Ducati Factory MX2 Team is continuing the partnership that began in the Italian MX2 Championship this past season.

Zanchi claimed his first MX2 World Championship podium in 2025 with third at Castilla-La Mancha, while EMX250 rider Simone Mancini arrives as a former 125cc World Championship runner-up.

“It is with great pride that we are preparing to represent Ducati in the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship,” commented team owner Dario Beddini. “The path we began last season allowed us to grow and gradually enter the Ducati world, learning to work with people of extraordinary expertise who brought the Desmo250 MX project to life, and finishing the Italian Pro Prestige Motocross Championship in second place with Alessandro Lupino.

“Now the challenge becomes even more demanding and exciting, to debut the bike in the MX2 World Championship and the European EMX250, contributing to the growth of two young talents like Ferruccio and Simone, and beginning a path that we hope will take them to MXGP with Ducati.

“Taking part in the development of the Desmo250 MX, which will soon be available to all enthusiasts, is a great responsibility and I am grateful to Ducati Corse Off-Road and Paolo Ciabatti for this opportunity. I am sure that through everyone’s work we will be able to achieve great goals: if we have come this far, it is above all thanks to my team and their tremendous commitment.”

Ducati will also have three bikes on the MXGP World Championship gates from 2026 with the Desmo 450MX, to be operated by Louis Vosters’ Dutch organization fielding Jeremy Sewer alongside Andrea Bonacorsi and Calvin Vlaanderen.
