Multiple arm injuries sustained in a training incident will rule Michael Mosiman out of the remaining rounds of Monster Energy Supercross 2026, the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider now targeting a return for Pro Motocross.

The 250SX West contender – currently ranked third in the standings – crashed at the team’s training facility on Tuesday, which resulted in a dislocated right elbow, a broken radius and fingers, as well as breaks to his hand.

“Here with the health update nobody wanted,” 26-year-old Mosiman announced. “I got injured this past Tuesday out at The Farm, riding and training. First day back on supercross and getting ready for Birmingham the following weekend. It’s a huge bummer – a huge disappointment.

“I dislocated my elbow, I broke my radius, and I broke some fingers and a few different bones in my hand. I had to have surgery on my radius – they reduced my elbow, and fortunately, the recovery time is not terribly long, and it looks like I should be, if all things go to plan, hopefully ready for outdoors.

“It’s obviously devastating, a huge bummer for all the work that me and the team have put in to be third in the points in the west coast [division], and to have such a solid start to the year. I just want to say thank you to all the individuals who put so much work into helping me get to the level I’m at. We’re going to build back and be resilient, which is something I’ve done many times before.”

Mosiman had recorded two podium finishes and a further two top-five results to sit third in the championship following the opening six rounds. His goal is to return for 250MX, which is set to commence with the Fox Raceway National on May 30.
