Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle has captured back-to-back 250SX East main event wins after storming to a commanding victory at Birmingham’s Monster Energy Supercross, promoting him to the championship lead.

The Frenchman hit the front early on at the fourth 250SX East round before distancing himself from the field, navigating the technical conditions with ease as he crossed the line with a comfortable margin for just his second-career victory.

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Cameron McAdoo kept his cool in a consistent ride to second to keep himself in the championship fight, as drama unfolded further down the field.

Triumph Factory Racing’s Jalek Swoll held down third until a crash at the halfway mark demoted him from the podium, while moments later former series leader Max Anstie (Fire Power Honda) suffered a devastating mechanical failure as battled inside the top 10, stripping him of the red plate.

It was Seth Hammaker (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) who benefited from Swoll’s earlier mistake to claim third, finishing ahead of Pierce Brown (TLD Red Bull GasGas) and Jeremy Martin (Muc-Off FXR ClubMX).

Swoll worked his way back to sixth after an aggressive pass on Chance Hymas (Team Honda HRX) in the final stages, as Daxton Bennick (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) was credited seventh.

There was drama between Coty Schock (Muc-Off FXR ClubMX) and Haiden Deegan (Monster Energy Star Yamaha) – the latter pulling the trigger on a final corner take out, however, he was later penalised for an earlier track infringement and was docked two positions.

Vialle holds a slender one-point advantage over McAdoo as the series heads to Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium next weekend.
