Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson has been placed on six-month probation by the AMA for ‘overly aggressive riding’ following his latest incident with Justin Barcia at Raymond James Stadium.

During Tampa’s 450SX main event, Anderson slid up the inside of the TLD Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing rider, ultimately running Barcia into the tough blocks and bringing both riders down.

It marked the second time that number 21 has caused Barcia to crash this season, with Anderson also bringing Barcia down in heat one at San Diego, following up with social media comments after the fall.

As a result of the latest incident, deemed overly aggressive riding, Anderson was given a written warning alongside the handout of his probation. If past incidents while on probation are an indicator, he now runs the risk of being fined or losing crucial championship points if another incident is to occur during the six-month period.

Anderson and Barcia were able to remount from the fall and finish sixth and eighth respectively, as the next round of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship takes place this Saturday at Oakland.
