Friday press day incident sidelines factory Beta team rider.
Liqui Moly Beta Racing’s Benny Bloss will sit out the Anaheim Supercross opener tonight, with a wrist injury sustained during press day sidelining the 450SX rider for an undetermined amount of time.
The 28-year-old enters his third full season with the Italian marque in 2026 after finishing 15th overall last year.
However, the injury will delay the start of his 2026 campaign, with the Missouri native now in recovery. No timetable has been provided regarding his racing return.
“Benny Bloss unfortunately sustained an injury to his wrist at the first round of the Supercross Series at Anaheim during the press practice session,” a statement from the team read. “He headed to a local hospital for further evaluation, [and] he will be out for an undetermined amount of time.”
Beta teammate Mitchell Oldenburg will line up onboard the team’s sole RX 450 at Anaheim 1 for the opening round of the 2026 Monster Energy Supercross Championship.
