ClubMX Racing Yamaha rider Hunter Yoder is out of this weekend’s SMX Final at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena, scheduled for upcoming surgery after damaging his knee further in the Los Angeles round of Monster Energy SMX.

Yoder had been racing through a torn ACL and meniscus in 2026 – finishing sixth in the 250SX West standings – but will now require immediate surgery in preparation for next season.

“Unfortunately, I will not be racing this weekend,” Yoder explained. “
As most of you know, I had a torn ACL and meniscus coming into the season, and this weekend at LA SMX, I dabbed it, made it a little bit worse, so it’s unfortunate.

“I want to say thank you to everyone checking in on me – I’ve been in a pretty dark spot, unfortunately, as you would guess – and then thank you to my team and everyone who supports the team as well.

“
We had a good year considering, like I said, racing with a torn AC and meniscus… you know, a lot of personal bests, a lot of growth in outdoors, and being seeded into the playoffs is awesome. So, going to get surgery on the first [October 1] and looking forward to making a comeback.

“Excited already to be back on the bike. 
I know it’s only been a couple days, but I’m hungry and ready to start my therapy and get back to it as soon as I can.”

ClubMX has partnered with Family PowerSports for this weekend’s SMX Final, set to race as Family PowerSports Yamaha in 250SMX with Max Vohland, Max Anstie and Devin Simonson. The newfound partnership features a one-off livery incorporating the Texas-based dealership group for the season finale.
