Triumph Factory Racing has confirmed that Jordon Smith will make his return to racing this weekend at Arlington’s seventh round of Monster Energy Supercross 2026, signalling his debut in the 450SX class.

The 30-year-old was sidelined for the opening portion of the series after electing to undergo shoulder surgery following a high-speed impact at the SMX Final in Las Vegas last September.

Following an extensive career in the 250 category – which included delivering Triumph its first 250SX victory at Glendale one year ago – Smith will transition to the premier class and continue development of Triumph’s TF 450-X.

Confirmation from the team came on social media this week: A new chapter begins. Jordon Smith will be making his 450SX debut this weekend in Arlington, alongside the long-awaited return of Jalek Swoll in 250SX East. We cannot wait to show what we got as we head to Texas.

Triumph had Austin Forkner on track in 450SX at the first four rounds – achieving a best result of P15 at Anaheim 1 – until a fractured hand sustained in press day at Houston put him out of action. It’s unclear if he will join Smith in the 450 class or revert to 250SX East upon return.
