All-star roster confirmed for 2025 edition at Ironman Raceway.
Team USA has named the all-star roster of Haiden Deegan, Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton for the 2025 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations (MXoN), to be staged on American soil at Ironman Raceway from October 3-5.
The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) today confirmed the trio that will represent the United States team in Indiana – all three featuring as national Pro Motocross champions.
Both Tomac (Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing) and Sexton (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) worked together to secure the Chamberlain Trophy when they lined up together at RedBud in 2022, which coincides with the last time that Team USA earned the coveted trophy in what was a record 23rd MXoN victory.
“I’m excited to represent the USA once again this year,” commented Tomac. “It’s going to be great to be on home turf, and I believe our team will be very fast at Ironman.”
Sexton added: “It’s an honor to represent Team USA at this year’s Motocross of Nations, especially with the event being held at Ironman Raceway alongside Eli Tomac and Haiden Deegan. It’s extra special for me with the race taking place so close to where I grew up – I can’t wait to race in front of many hometown fans and represent my country on home soil.”
For Deegan, Ironman will mark the first time that the defending 250MX champion will represent the United States at MXoN, where he will form the MX2 entry for the first time alongside 450 duo Tomac and Sexton.
“I’m stoked to finally be healthy enough to go race for my country and bring that trophy home where it belongs,” Deegan said.
This year, the team will be managed by AMA director of racing Mike Pelletier, following the retirement of longtime team manager and AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member, Roger De Coster. It will mark the first time someone other than De Coster has helmed the United States’ efforts in the annual international competition.
In 2024, a team of Tomac, Aaron Plessinger, and Cooper Webb contested the event in Matterly Basin, United Kingdom, with the trio right in the mix and delivering a hard-fought second-place finish overall, only three points shy of the victory behind Team Australia.
