Newly-crowned Monster Energy AMA Supercross champion Ken Roczen will headline the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Open as it shifts to Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium for this season on November 7.

The AUSX Open had been contested within Marvel Stadium since relocation from Sydney to Melbourne in 2019, but will instead be hosted at the home of the Geelong Cats AFL team in 2026.

Roczen will effectively take over from American Supercross title-rival Hunter Lawrence and last year’s AUSX Open winner Jett Lawrence – the Australian brothers taking the upcoming off-season off altogether – as the marquee signing for Geelong, with more internationals remaining to be announced.

“Winning the AMA Supercross Championship this year was one of the proudest moments of my career,” Roczen commented. “It’s been a long journey to get back to the top and something I never take for granted. Australia has always had passionate fans and I’m excited to bring that momentum to the AUSX Open. It’s going to be massive – I can’t wait to see all the Aussie fans.”

The move to Geelong and GMHBA Stadium is set to unlock the full scale of the AUSX Open. The significant increase in floor space promising the largest and most dynamic track in the event’s 11-year history, and an unrivalled fan experience thanks to an open pit paddock and expanded Monster Energy Fan Fest.

“Ken Roczen is an absolute icon of Supercross globally and his championship win this year will be remembered as one of the most emotional in our sport’s history,” said AUSX CEO Adam Bailey. “He isn’t just a world-class rider, he’s one of the biggest names our sport has produced.

“To have him confirmed for this year’s Boost Mobile AUSX Open, is such an honour and incredible opportunity for the Aussie fans. With the support of Visit Victoria and Geelong Major Events, we’re striving to elevate the Boost Mobile AUSX Open as one of the most prestigious Supercross events in the world, whilst showcasing Geelong to fans across Australia and globally.”

Geelong will feature as the third round on the wider 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship schedule, which is also set to stage high-profile events in Townsville (October 3), Auckland (October 31), Perth (November 14) and Newcastle (November 28).

Tickets for the Boost Mobile AUSX Open Supercross Geelong, presented by Monster Energy, go on sale Thursday, June 25, with exclusive pre-sale access available on June 23 via www.ausxsupercross.com.
