Christian Craig has officially been announced at Quad Lock Honda for the 2025 World Supercross Championship alongside Joey Savatgy in the SX1 division.

Craig, 34, split from Star Racing Yamaha earlier this week and had been linked to the international Honda team in a move that’s now been formalized.

“This is an amazing moment for me,” Craig commented. “I’ve had great success with Honda and I know what this team is capable of. They’ve beaten the factory teams – Kenny [Roczen] won with them, [Max] Anstie won with them, [Shane] McElrath and [Joey] Savatgy have won and been on the box in respective championships.

“Their bikes, their staff, their processes, all of it is at the highest level. That’s why I’m confident I can achieve success here too. The team has one clear goal – winning. I’m grateful for this chance and excited to get to work.”

Quad Lock Honda team principal Martin Davalos added: “Christian is a proven champion and race winner. He has shown time and again what he’s capable of. Our sport comes with challenges and risks, but when Christian is healthy, he’s a contender for any championship. I’d much rather have him with us than lining up against us.”

It had already been confirmed that the team’s 250 line-up will feature defending two-time SX2 world champion Shane McElrath – stepping back to the CRF250R – alongside two-time Australian MX2 champion Brodie Connolly, who is expected to transfer to the US full-time from 2026.
