Managing the chaos

Yeah, obviously, I think the first two races were pretty crazy, honestly. The track was gnarly and you’re just trying to survive the chaos, I guess. But we reset for the last race and it was a good last race. Qualifying was good also, and I felt good all day. Yeah, but reset for the last one.

Clinching in Philadelphia

I mean, I could, but I try not to think about that. I just go race by race and just see where it leads me. Yeah, today was a rough night, but to still make up points is good. That was the East West last year in Philly that I got the win, it was probably one of my better rounds. I feel like I suit that dirt, so I’m just excited for it. It was sick last year, so it should be good this year.

Coming together with Hammaker

It is what it is. Seth is fighting for a championship, but yeah… I hope Drew’s all right. I hate to see that.

First race crash

The tops of the berms were almost crumbling down, they were super-soft and it just caught me off guard. I tucked the front and then my bike didn’t start super quick, so it was annoying. But I was trying to make the pass and got caught off guard.

The tunnel situation

Well, I was going down and there was this dude that pointed that way. I don’t know if we’re going to wait in the tunnel or something because it was raining, but I got pointed that way. I went that way and then someone stopped me and said, ‘Yeah, you’re going to get DQ’d if you go down the tunnel.’ I’m like, ‘I’ll turn around real quick’, but yeah.

Race three mindset

I would say it’s just calming down a little bit. Feel like I was a little too eager. So I just calmed down and the third race just didn’t come to me more and it was good.

Battling with teammates

I don’t know. I guess it’s just like every other rider, we race each other hard and we all race to win.
