Winning at Unadilla

I mean, it’s a step in the right direction from last year. I think I got 27th, so to win here today is pretty good. Yeah, I’m happy.

Improving from 27th overall last year

That’s why everyone thought I couldn’t ride motocross, I think. But no, it’s good. Yeah, it was a good day today. This track, it’s very technical and fast and pretty sketchy, but no, it was good. I’m happy with that second moto.

Changes made for moto two

Honestly, I didn’t really feel too great in the first one. I definitely felt a lot better in the second one, just kind of flowing around the track and trying to carry more speed around the turns, I feel like, and just hopping around the track a little bit. But yeah, the bumps were weird, too. They’re so steep and your bike just wants to unload when you hit them. They’re pretty gnarly.

That qualifying crash

I was fine. Both motos were good, so I don’t feel like it affected me.

The points gap consistently changing

Definitely thinking about the championship, just trying to maximize your points. But I don’t know… I feel like I’m kind of in the chase and I feel like Levi’s got a lot of pressure on him with having the red plate, and I’ve kind of been chasing him. But no, I feel like – I mean, there is too – but yeah, I’m just trying to maximize my points and fight to the end.

Already knowing the track

I struggled here last year and, yeah, I don’t know. I don’t know if I gel with this track a little bit. I’d say, especially the next two tracks, are probably my favourite two to go to and I feel like they’re probably my best two tracks. So yeah, ready to go. Those two are going to be fun and, yeah, I’m going to be ready.

The three-week break

I was chillaxing, just training, getting food with the boys, went to the beach, just chillaxing and just waiting pretty much. I don’t know. It was nice to have a break, I feel like.
