Adds select Pro Motocross rounds to Supercross commitment.
250SX East standout Devin Simonson has signed a contract extension with the ClubMX Yamaha team for 2027, locking in another full Monster Energy Supercross campaign alongside select Pro Motocross appearances.
The 24-year-old initially earned a Supercross-only deal ahead of this season, before the team confirmed that he will now also make a number of Pro Motocross starts during the summer.
Simonson first lined up with ClubMX at the final two outdoor rounds of 2024, finishing 15th overall at the Ironman National in 450MX, before a wrist injury derailed his 250SX East campaign last year.
Currently ranked sixth in the 250SX East division standings this season, Simonson’s strong form has earned him a contract extension into next year, the team announced prior to St. Louis on the weekend.
“This season has been one of growth and maturity for Devin Simonson,” a statement from the team read. “He has always been somewhat of a prodigy in the motocross world, but somehow fell below the radar except in the eyes of ClubMX owner, Brandon Haas. Haas saw something in Simonson and was committed to seeing it through.
“Simonson started the year with a Supercross-only contract for 2026 and has earned an extension for some outdoor rounds for the remainder of 2026 and a similar program for all of 2027. The team will determine the number of outdoor rounds in the near future.
“[Devin] has been easy to spot this season. He has taken full advantage of the ClubMX Yamaha and scored his career-best qualifying and career-best finishes aboard the bike – [he] shows the determination and commitment to compete at the top, making these final five rounds of Supercross something to watch.
“[As] a long-time customer at the ClubMX Training Facility, he followed the Club program under the watchful eyes of Hass and Chad Reed and with this commitment, he achieved his goal of competing at the top of the sport. With this contract in his pocket, we can all sit back and see where this new confidence takes him.”
ClubMX has now re-signed its complete roster of Simonson, Coty Schock, Maximus Vohland, Hunter Yoder, Ryder Malinoski, and Jesson Turner for 2027, completing the team’s rider line-up altogether into next year.
Simonson recorded a career-high sixth-place finish at the Indianapolis Supercross round, followed by a P8 result at the St. Louis 250SX Showdown, with four rounds remaining in this year’s championship.
