A ‘beat up’ Michael Mosiman has outlined an extensive list of injuries following a heavy impact during the opening 250MX moto at Unadilla on Saturday, with a moderate concussion, black eye, facial stitches, and two knee contusions the extent of the damage.

The Californian racer qualified 10th on the combined 250MX timesheets at New Berlin, before a high-speed highside leading up to the ‘skyshot’ jump left him on the ground as he was slow to regain his bearings after the incident.

His fall would draw an early end to his Undailla National, with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider sidelined for the remainder of the 10th Pro Motocross round.

“Health update: Moderate concussion, a black eye, some stitches under my eyebrow, and a pair of knee contusions,” Mosiman commented. “All and all, I am doing quite good – beat up but not broken. Years ago, this would’ve broken me both physically and mentally, but I have become much stronger and more resilient. Thank you to everyone for praying for me and reaching out.”

The result comes off the back of two troubled performances at both Ironman and Spring Creek, while withdrawing from the Washougal National altogether due to an aggravated ankle injury. He currently sits 10th in the 250MX overall standings with one round remaining in the championship.
