Finishes 11th overall in first full Pro Motocross season.
250MX revelation Drew Adams earned the coveted Rookie of the Year award after securing 11th overall in his first full season of Pro Motocross, with the teenage talent meeting the target that he set at the beginning of the series.
In what was an ultra-competitive field in 2025, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider showcased a steady build throughout the 11 rounds, which resulted in the 17-year-old posting the fastest qualifying time at both the Unadilla and Budds Creek Nationals.
Fifth overall at the Ironman National, thanks to an 8-5 moto scorecard, was the season-high performance for Adams, who posted an additional two top 10 results to conclude his maiden professional campaign outdoors.
“This season definitely had some ups and downs, but I told myself at Fox Raceway this year that I wanted to win the Rookie of the Year award,” Adams commented after Budds Creek. “I thought that would be super-cool, and there are a lot of greats that have won this award their first year, so this is a big achievement of mine.
“For next year, I’d like to be a little more consistent and try not to have some of those up and down motos. We’ll try and be a top five guy every time, top three, and hopefully some wins – to click off some of those would be great.”
Adams also displayed promise during the Monster Energy Supercross Championship this year, collecting three top 10 finishes in the 250SX West division during what had been a partial season – receiving a late call for Anaheim 2 – that was also impacted by injury.
