Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider 'working to be back soon'.
RJ Hampshire has undergone surgery on the foot injury that has left him sidelined in Monster Energy Supercross since Seattle, continuing to work on his recovery and a return to competition.
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider was ruled out of Glendale through illness, before missing Seattle and Arlington with a fractured right foot.
A brief update on social media confirmed that he had an operation on the injury this past week: ‘Surgery last week to get the middle bone plated. Working to be back soon’.
After impressing through Pro Motocross and the SMX post-season on debut in the premier class last year, Hampshire is in his first full season of 450SX competition, achieving a best result of ninth at Anaheim 2 prior to his injury.
