Quad Lock Honda rider progressing after troubled start to 2026.
A ninth-place result in Arlington was an important outcome for Christian Craig, the first step in his target of recording consistent top 10 finishes with Quad Lock Honda through the 450SX season.
Craig has endured a mixed start to Monster Energy Supercross 2026, with fractured fingers from a first-turn incident in Seattle underscoring what has been a challenging stretch of races for the 34-year-old.
With a previous season-high finish of 11th at Anaheim 1, claiming P9 at the seventh round of the season marked a welcome turnaround for Craig, who has the goal of similar results on a weekly basis.
“I mean, I love [Dallas] – I think everyone does – so it was good vibes coming in,” commented Craig. “After last weekend, I needed that [result] to get some speed going, or just like, some good vibes. I needed that, and I’m stoked on how it ended up.
“I didn’t know what place I was in for pretty much the whole main, but I knew I was fighting in a good spot. So, first top 10 of the season and first top 10 in a while – my brain and body needed that.
“I really want to be a consistent top 10 guy, and not having one this year is tough. But to click one off now feels good. It’s a step in the right direction, the bike was good all day, and we’ll look to keep this going into Daytona.”
Craig is currently listed 14th in the standings after seven rounds, five points from the 12th-place rider Malcolm Stewart (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) as the series heads to Daytona this weekend.
