Pipes Motorsport Group (PMG) and Colt Nichols have agreed to a contract extension for the 2026 Monster Energy SMX World Championship season, keeping him part of the Twisted Tea Suzuki outfit for a second year.

After an uncertain two SMX seasons upon entering the 450 division, 31-year-old Nichols has found solid footing at the Dustin Pipes-led program, with the pair earning top 10 finishes in both Supercross and Pro Motocross this year.

For 2026, Nichols will enter his second full season on board an RM-Z450, which will coincide with his fourth year in the premier class.

“[I’m] super-excited to re-sign with the PMG team for next season,” commented Nichols. “I was really happy to almost get a full season under my belt in 2025, and I’m ready to elevate and improve for the 2026 season. I love working with this team and being around the guys week in, week out. I’m pumped for the future – let’s get to work.”

Dustin Pipes, team principal of Pipes Motorsports Group, added: “Continuing with Colt for another season has been in the team’s plans for some time, so I’m glad to finally announce it. A former champion, Colt brings a level of professionalism to the team that makes him easy to work with. I look forward to seeing him progress and show his talent level on the racetrack in 2026.”

The PMG organization continues to grow in strength for 2026, having recently signed former 450SX champion Jason Anderson to the program alongside two-time Pro Motocross title winner Ken Roczen.
