In line to make full-time professional debut for 2027 season.
A three-year contract with Triumph Racing will take highly-rated teenager Deacon Denno from amateur competition into the professional ranks, with this year’s AMA Amateur Rider of the Year recipient slated for a full-time pro transition in 2027 as part of the racing operation.
The 17-year-old posted a breakout performance at Loretta Lynn MX in this year’s Amateur National Motocross Championship, capturing both the 250B and Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C class titles.
With a single year left in amateur competition for 2026, the British marque announced that the agreement will see Denno enter the professional ranks as part of the Triumph Factory Racing program the following year.
“I’m really excited for this new chapter with Triumph Racing America,” commented Denno. “Having a three-year contract that takes me into pro-level racing gives me a lot of confidence.
“What the team has achieved over the last two years is amazing, and I’m excited to be a part of it. I’m grateful for this opportunity and pumped about having the whole team behind me. I can’t wait to get started with the next step of my career with Triumph.”
Triumph Racing America general manager Jeremy Coker added: “I am beyond excited to welcome Deacon to the brand as he has done nothing but impress me, both on and off the bike. His Loretta Lynn’s performance this year was just the icing on the cake for me, and it underlined his speed and ability.
“To be able to sign the AMA Amateur Rider of the Year is always a great thing. I look forward to the journey with Deacon. He will continue to race at an amateur level before turning pro with Triumph Factory Racing for 2027. His potential is massive, and we will do our best as a team to go out and win multiple championships with him.”
Denno has spent two seasons as part of the championship-winning KTM Orange Brigade program, with Triumph’s acquisition a promising addition for their future pipeline.
