World Supercross champion Eli Tomac has been added to the 2025 WSX Australian Grand Prix rider line-up alongside reigning 250SX East number one Tom Vialle, which will be hosted on Queensland’s Gold Coast on November 29.

It was already announced this week that triple Monster Energy Supercross champion Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen would be contesting the Cbus Super Stadium event.

Tomac clinched last year’s WSX title in collaboration with the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team and the US-based Star Racing program, but with the American icon heavily linked to Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for 2026, it could mark his first high-profile appearance in orange.

Adding to the roster, Vialle will make his WSX debut in 2025, which could double as one of his first premier class starts. Of note, it’s unclear if he will remain in the United States with Red Bull KTM upon transitioning to 450SX for next season, or if he will return to MXGP after reportedly being courted by HRC in Europe.

What also remains in the balance at this stage is whether Webb, Tomac, and Vialle will be considered as wildcards for the Australian GP, or whether any of them will contest additional rounds of the global series, which is set for five rounds in season 2025. Two-time WSX champion Roczen is contracted to complete the entire series.

It’s a packed period for the sport in Australia, with this year’s AUSX Open taking place in Melbourne on November 22 and featuring the Lawrence brothers, before the domestic AUSX championship finale is on the same weekend as WSX, running alongside the Supercars Grand Final in Adelaide.

“Cbus Super Stadium is an iconic venue that will create an incredible atmosphere for fans,” commented Luisa Fernandez, chief product officer of WSX. “Returning to Australia and bringing the championship to a new city is huge for us, and we can’t wait to bring the elite racing to the Gold Coast for the first time.

“With the strongest SX1 line-up ever to race in Australia, fans are in for something truly special. From track design to fan activations, our goal is to deliver a world-class spectacle that keeps fans on the edge of their seats.”

Tomac and Vialle join Webb and Roczen for Australia, alongside Vince Friese (MCR Honda), Justin Hill (Bud Racing Kawasaki), as well as Coty Schock (Rick Ware Racing), Enzo Lopes (SX2), Cole Thompson (Bud Racing Kawasaki), Kyle Peters (Bud Racing Kawasaki), and Noah Viney (MCR Honda) in SX2. The complete fields remain to be announced.
