Triple Monster Energy Supercross champion Cooper Webb has been named for the 2025 World Supercross Championship Australian Grand Prix, set to make his debut in the international series at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on November 29.

Webb has been announced in a head-to-head match-up with PMG Suzuki’s Ken Roczen, who had already been contracted to enter his fourth-consecutive season in the SX Global-led world championship.

It’s unclear if 29-year-old Webb – who clinched a third-career 450SX crown at Salt Lake City’s finale in May – will be considered a one-off wildcard in Queensland or if there are plans for the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider to contest additional WSX races.

In addition, it’s also uncertain if Webb will make an appearance at the high-profile AUSX Open in Melbourne for a second-straight year, which will take place in Melbourne the week prior to the WSX Australian Grand Prix.

Last year’s WSX championship was won by Eli Tomac as part of the Australian-based Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team, however, neither Tomac – who is off contract upon the conclusion of the US-based SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) – or the team are expected to be defending the title.

WSX has been gradually listing its 2025 roster, inclusive of AMA regulars Vince Friese (MCR Honda), Justin Hill (Bud Racing Kawasaki), as well as Coty Schock (Rick Ware Racing), Enzo Lopes (SX2), Cole Thompson (Bud Racing Kawasaki), Kyle Peters (Bud Racing Kawasaki) and Noah Viney (MCR Honda) in SX2.
